Prospero Ars Praefectus Conesant I’ve heard that it offers better image quality than the older model, but I have no personal experience with it so I cannot say. Tue Nov 18, 8: I’ll look more closely at the Philip Chipset. Wed Nov 19, 9: I didn’t work for me though. It works great with NTSC. Yeah it is silly, but then most manufacturer’s websites are bad.
The CXx chips are supported under Linux, by the cx88 and associated kernel driver moduleshowever, there are areas of these chips’ feature sets that the drivers currently lack support for or either need improvement upon.
The one thing I like about the chip specs other than 10 bit video is it is able to capture or preview both fields simultaneously. I’ve been researching capture cards, and came across all the good thoughts about cards using the Conexant CX chip.

It is the same application. I may need a tuner I also think it will be prudent for DScaler to handle the marcrovision flag so that timeshifting and anything like that is disabled if a macrovision signal is detected. Might I also add that it uses a Philips chipset, rather then the Connexant one I was originally asking about.
