Try to install same windows XP driver in compatiblity mode and it will work. Make sure when you insert the new card that the onboard graphics is disabled in the BIOS to prevent gfx card conflicts.

So clunky, that I would not consider it a viable option. Intel has both bit and bit Windows 7 drivers on their website for your video card.

You only select the Compatibility mode for installation of the driver. You would need to run Windows 7 permanently in XP compatibility mode always. No that didn’t work. Why would you want to run Windows 7 in XP compatibility mode permanently?
