Can you try using wicd instead of NetworkManager? Can you try that? From your first post I can deduce that a secondary call to the “make” command would be in order. I am a new user!! Check if the correct kernel is loaded. That is the fastest I have ever been able to connect for wireless.

All I know is that I am using that wireless adapter right now and it’s working llinux. Please keep that in mind. We don’t want to keep Ubuntu on that machine at all costs. If those answers do not fully address your question, please ask a new question. A simple file rename fixes the job and I think it’s a slight bug or typo on the developer’s side.
